So beyond the shame around having been in relationships for so long, the truth is: It is my biggest asset that I've managed to grow up in relationships, I managed to center myself (not always), know how to deal with my co-dependent tendencies, and deal with my deep feelings and fears that stem from emotional neglect.

Learning all of that in relationships was the key for me: Yes, there is so much value to being single, but I've always been a relationship person!

And even though some of those relationships were REALLY longer than they needed to be, that's exactly how I gathered the wisdom I have now. Without that, I'd maybe be a dating expert or something, but I'm not. I'm a relationship expert and an expert in identifying who's right for me, who's a lesson I need to learn and who's just a partner for a time..."
